Ian C Douglas is author of the Zeke Hailey sci-fi novels for younger adults. His children’s non-fiction books include the local best seller, ‘A Children’s History of Nottinghamshire’. His writes SF and fantasy short stories, such as the prize winning Making Grampie and Just going Outside.

Ian was a teacher in East Asia for many years and today teaches creative writing in workshops and on school visits. He also has an MA in Creative Writing (Distinction) from NTU. Ian wrote for the press in East Asia and today reviews for Left Lion. In recent years, Ian has acted as ambassador for the literacy charity Achievement for All. Ian has been a member of the Nottingham Writers Studio for eleven years.

Ian’s current projects include the 4th Zeke Hailey book, Electron’s Blade, due out in October 2019. And his latest sold short story is Mary Shelley and the St Pancras Ghoul, soon to be a podcast by Gallery of Curiosities.
