Nottingham UNESCO City of Literature

Bromley House Library

Founded in 1816, this flourishing independent lending library is situated in the city centre, one of the few remaining subscription libraries in the country. It has over 40,000 books housed in a Grade II Georgian townhouse.

Nottingham Writers’ Club

Meet twice a month at The Nottingham Mechanics on North Sherwood Street. Established in 1927 for anyone who loves to write. They often have guest speakers and crit groups.

Nottingham Trent University

As well as Creative Writing degrees, NTU also runs affordable short courses and has a public-access library.

National Videogame Arcade

A great day out for all the family. It’s a unique cultural centre, a brilliant museum and it’s all about videogames. They often run workshops for all ages on game writing.

Beeston Tales
