Writing Your Way into the Media with Shreya Sen Handley
11 February, 2017 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
‘Writing your way into the media’ will teach you how to get your creative non-fiction into well-known publications, but also to create a media presence, whether on traditional or social media. We will learn how to write engaging columns, travelogues, blogs, memoir and more. We will also work on how to get that seen and your voice heard!
A former broadcast journalist and television producer for international channels such as CNBC and MTV, Shreya Sen-Handley is now a columnist and illustrator for the British and Indian media, writing for the National Geographic, The Guardian, and the Times of India amongst other publications and websites. Her short fiction has been published by Five Leaves UK, Australia’s Transportation Press and Hachette India, and her memoir will be published by HarperCollins in 2017. She also teaches creative writing, is a director for the Nottingham Festival of Literature, and an ambassador for Nottingham UNESCO City of Literature.
This course will be running on Saturday afternoons over a six week period.
