Words for Wellbeing: Self-compassion through creativity
25 May @ 10:30 - 12:30
About this Event
Reading, writing and reflecting within a supportive group can enhance our wellbeing in many ways. This 2-hour online experiential workshop provides a relaxed opening into the ways we can ‘come home to ourselves’ through engaging creatively with words.
Using poems and a range of therapeutic writing techniques, participants will have chance to explore their creativity in a pressure-free environment with space for reflection and self-expression. You will look at some of the ways writing can nourish our ability to be kind to ourselves, forge a greater connection to ourselves and our words, and most importantly find pleasure in the process of creativity.
Throughout this two-hour session, you will:
- Find a space for self-reflection, self-expression and creativity.
- Reduce a sense of isolation through strengthening connections to others.
- Experience the ways writing can help us practice and enhance self-compassion.
- Nurture self-understanding and acceptance.
