About

Join published author and creative writing tutor, Cathy Lesurf on a 3-session course, where we’ll be taking an in-depth look at what makes a satisfying narrative; why we continually return to certain stories and storylines; and what it really means to ‘write what you know.’

Participants will be encouraged to think about plot, character and the psychological significance of the stories we construct about ourselves and the world.

The sessions will be divided into 30 minutes of input, 30 minutes of writing, and 30 minutes of discussion time.

You will…

  • Understand the significance of narrative
  • Explore the psychological significance of fairy stories, myths and basic plots
  • Develop skills in depicting sensory and feeling experience
  • Think about and develop authentic characters
  • Practise free writing and the ability to share work
