About the event
An urban writing retreat is a whole day devoted to writing. Six blissful hours to immerse yourself in creativity and write to your heart’s content. If you want to stay longer you can, your tutor might go home at 4pm but that doesn’t mean you have to!
We’ll have a mixture of focussed writing sprints, informal discussion time and the all-important tea and coffee breaks. Your tutor will also be on hand to help with any problems or questions that you have throughout the day.
Our main aim is words on the page, but we’ll also improve our craft and build links between writers. Writing prompts and exercises can be provided for those who don’t have a current project on the go.
This a great opportunity to talk about problems with a work-in-progress, turn the shadow of an idea into words on paper, get ideas for starting something new, work through an issue with a character or even figure out what kind of writing really interests you. From experienced writers working on their next best seller to beginning writers starting their first story, every writer will find the urban writing retreat useful.
