Shake up your Writing with Nikki Dudley! (on Zoom)

11 July @ 18:30 - 20:30

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 18:30 on Monday, happening 2 times

Inject new ideas into your writing, especially pieces you thought weren’t good enough to use, and find ways to experiment when stuck!

About this event

Please note this is a 2-part course taking place on consecutive Mondays: 11th and 18th July, lasting 2 hrs (18:30-20:30) via Zoom.

Have you ever felt that your work wasn’t good enough? Have you ever experienced the almost unmentionable writers block? Of course you have … you’re a writer! Nikki Dudley’s fun and playful workshop embraces these common experiences and through a variety of experimental techniques, she’ll lead you through the other side!

During this 2-part course you will…

  • Up-cycle a piece of writing you don’t currently love.
  • Using Nikki’s fun techniques you’ll play with the content. You’ll redact, eliminate from it, polish it up and learn to love it again!
  • Translate a piece of writing (yours or someone else’s) using sounds, dictionaries and more.
  • Create a simple poem before reassembling it with replacements, found material and different forms.
  • Embrace and power through those times you may be stuck.
  • Write on something that already has words/images on it.
