Ready, Set, Go NaNoWriMo!
14 October @ 18:30 - 20:30
About this Event
Are you ready? NaNoWriMo is about getting the words down, each and every day. It’s a fun, serious word sprint. But how do you prepare? How do you get the most out of it? Join Victoria Villasenor for some tips and tricks on how to win your NaNoWriMo run!
Through discussion and activities, you’ll concentrate on what work you can do beforehand to prepare for NaNoWriMo, how to consider your schedule, and what to expect from the experience.
For those of you new to NaNoWriMo, it stands for National Novel Writing Month and is a month-long creative writing challenge that takes place every November. During the month, participants from all over the world are challenged to write a 50,000 word first draft of a novel.
Victoria Villasenor is a development editor for a publishing house in New York. She has published several novels as well as a handful of short stories and poems, and currently runs the social enterprise Global Wordsmiths, which provides assistance to writers at every stage and runs community writing projects for marginalized groups in Nottingham.
