Pure Pride Bangers: Using Music to Create New writing
29 July @ 18:30 - 20:30
About this event
Pure Pride Bangers is a creative writing class that will inspire people to write through the use of songs that get us dancing at Pride. Inspired by hits such as I Feel Love, YMCA, My Way and It’s Raining Men. We will use music videos, lyrics and more to create pieces of writing. This class is open to all abilities. No prior experience of writing is needed to participate. Just bring yourself, a pen and some paper. Dancing is of course optional.
Throughout the session, you will…
- Understand you can find prompts for writing from a variety of different sources
- Discover how you can turn things into prompts / write from different things
- Create a few short pieces of fiction/poetry
- Have fun
