Introduction to Novel Writing
22 June @ 11:00 - 15:30
Join best-selling author, Jenny Kane as she introduces new writers and first-time novelists to the art of novel writing.
This workshop will address the essential elements of novel writing, from the practicalities of getting into a writing routine and how to plan and structure your novel, to understanding the audience you are writing for.
You will also explore research methods and discuss how to cope with the bad days and writer’s block.
Jenny’s workshop combines teaching, discussion and writing exercises to provide a framework from which the course participants can start their journey into novel writing.
- Build the confidence of beginners to prove that they can write the novel they have always dreamed off.
- Show new writers, who have already started novels, how to improve their work and/or reassure them that they are on the right track.
- By the end of the lesson, everyone involved should know where and how to start their novel.
