More and more people are turning to eBooks as a means to self-publish their work and get their writing into the hands of more readers, but how exactly do you go about setting it up?
Join Alison Mott for an introduction to eBooks including how to format your writing for uploading as an ebook to Amazon and digital platforms!
Not a tech-whizz? Don’t worry! This session is suitable for those who can use word processing programs on both PC and Macbook.
By the end of the session, you will…
- Learn how to create an eBook from a pre-exisiting word document, including formatting for poetry, adding photographs and tables
- Understand the proccess involved with uploading to Amazon and other digital sites
About Alison Mott
Alison Mott is a writer, freelance copywriter and writing coach, accredited through the Arvon Foundation and the National Association of Writers in Education. She writes memoir, historical fiction and non-fiction, childrens’ fiction and educational materials for adults and schools.
Alison has many years’ experience leading creative activities in the community and publishes her own and other people’s work under the name Timepiece Press. She has a Master’s degree in Creative Writing and is a sessional creative writing tutor at Loughborough University.
This workshop will be delivered online via Zoom. Zoom is a cloud-based video conferencing service you can use to virtually meet with others – either by video or audio-only or both. A user manual containing access instructions and a link will be sent out to you before the workshop. You will need an internet connection, and a computer with either a built-in camera or webcam, and a built-in microphone/speaker.
