How to Write a Compelling Murder Mystery
27 May @ 18:30 - 20:30
About this Event
Writing in series is one of the most challenging, but rewarding forms of creative writing. Readers love a series where they can genuinely engage with the characters and care about what happens to them. This workshop will discuss ways in which you can begin and develop a crime mystery series that will leave readers wanting more. The tricky part is creating new plots with familiar characters and some of the challenges regarding this will be discussed in the session.
Throughout this workshop, you will…
- Gain insight into writing in a series
- Learn how to create intriguing and compelling characters
- Explore the challenges of writing a series and writing crime fiction with just enough clues for readers to try to work out whodunnit while making it as difficult as possible until at or near the end.
