In this extended session, acclaimed literature event organiser Alex Davis will let you in on some of the key elements that go into a successful writing event. Whether you’re looking to run workshops and courses, put on author readings or interviews, or something substantially bigger, we’ll take a look at event planning and timelines, dealing with venues, promotion, contacting and engaging authors for activities and much more.

About Alex Davies
Alex has run hundreds of events over 15 years working in the literature field, including Alt.Fiction (5 times), Edge-Lit (8 times to date), FantasyCon, the East Midlands Writing Conference, Derby’s Festival of Words, the UK Ghost Story Festival and many more courses and individual workshops across the East Midlands and beyond.
