Getting Started with Self-Publishing
4 December @ 19:00 - 21:00
Many writers consider self-publishing nowadays, but the internet offers an overwhelming amount of advice on the ‘right’ way to go about it. This workshop will offer an overview of the different ways to go about self-publishing your writing, giving participants a chance to reflect on the kind of success they want from self-publishing, as well as providing the basics of getting your books out there and selling to fans.
The first hour will cover the various routes to self-publishing, giving participants a chance to decide which self-publishing option is right for them, as well as providing the basics of creating and self-publishing books via the largest retailers.
In the second hour the focus will shift to the marketing of the independent author’s books, as well as an all-important consideration of how to grow an audience and turning your readers into committed fans.
