Freewriting and Performance

26 November @ 18:30 - 20:30

About this Event

Following the success of her captivating full-length, one-person performance, Casino Zero last year we knew we had to get Bridie in for a workshop at NWS. This November, she’ll be spending 2-hours with you lucky lot exploring all things poetry, performance and spoken word.

Participants will take part in group discussions about poetry, films and performances before using their own experiences to complete content generation exercises. The exercises will be celebratory of participants’ individuality and focused on positive aspects of everyday life. There will also be the opportunity to take part in group word games, breathing and stretching exercises, and a freestyle monologue performance generation.

Throughout this 2-hour session, you will…

  • Learn how to write an ode
  • Build confidence in public speaking
  • Explore techniques in positive well-being reinforcement
  • Find the fun in writing
