Finding the Words: Found Poetry & Fiction Workshop FoL special with Giselle Leeb
12 November, 2016 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Words are everywhere if you know where to look for them. Water them and they’ll sprout in a hundred different directions. Join us on a word-discovery trip through the streets of Nottingham. Learn how to experiment and play with language to sow the seeds of your fantastic flash fiction and poetry.
This is a fringe event, running as part of Nottingham Festival of Literature. As part of the workshop and the festival, we will be creating a ‘Wall of Words’ in the studio with your collage of found poetry and prose.
Giselle Leeb is an experienced workshop leader and lecturer with a decade of teaching experience. She has recently won prizes for her flash fiction and short stories in the Ambit, Aurora, and Elbow Room competitions, and her stories have appeared in a variety of magazines, including Mslexia, Ambit, Lady Churchill’s Rosebud Wristlet, Bare Fiction, and the Riptide Journal. She grew up in South Africa and lives in Nottingham, where she works as a web developer and IT trainer when she is not writing.
This event is £5 for NWS members, concessions and Festival of Literature pass holders or £7 for everyone else. To book, please use the Paypal button below.
