Finding Space and Time in your Life to Write
22 October @ 18:00 - 21:00
About this Event
Creative writing can be both a joy and a struggle, a gift and a burden. This workshop will explore our wellbeing as writers. How do we find the time, energy and inspiration within our busy lives to write and edit? How do we avoid getting fatigued and run down when trying to fit in writing alongside work, study, family, and personal struggles?
This will be a short taster workshop on the subject covering:
- A brief explanation of the science of burnout with tips for avoiding fatigue covering food, habit-tracking, planning, and mindset.
- How writing can be both a positive outlet to support your wellbeing and another task in an already full workload.
- How to forge a writing habit specific to you and your timetable.
- How to prioritise your writing when everything else feels more urgent.
