Fiction writing for radio and podcasts
18 July @ 18:00 - 21:00
Whether on the daily commute, out running errands or doing housework, nearly 6 million of us each week are tuning into our favourite podcasts, and this figure just keeps rising. As writers, radio and podcast broadcasts provide a fantastic opportunity to get our words out onto new and improved platforms, so what better time to explore a new medium for your writing!
Join Liam Mills at NWS this July as he dissects great audio storytelling including looking at the elements inherent to fiction radio and podcast broadcasts and finding ways to recreate them.
By the end of the workshop, you will…
- Have a greater understanding of radio and podcast fiction
- Gain knowledge about the specific elements unique to the medium and the ways in which these elements can be recreated and manipulated
- Learn how the limitations of the medium can be overcome
