Workspace

Membership of the Studio provides 24/7 access to the meeting and resource room, use of all facilities including wireless internet*, TV and DVD, hotdesking, computer, printing & copying, resource library, tea & coffee, and big armchairs.

The free wifi is shared by Nottingham Writers' Studio users and is intended for web browsing, emailing and small downloads only. The Wifi passcode is above the computer in the meeting area.

We also have resident (tenant) writers in four private offices attached to the communal area.

Private Bookings

The NWS meeting space can be booked exclusively by outside groups by arrangement. The fee is £50 per day/ £10 per hour and includes access to NWS Wifi and kitchen facilities.

Tenant Writer Offices

Offices at NWS in the Lacemarket area offer free wifi* and electricity, plus access to printing, internet, kitchen, a pidgeon hole for mail, a resource library and all NWS facilities. Rents from £100-150 per month - sharing by arrangement).

A private phone and line can be provided for tenants. Business facilities such as photocopying, faxing and post are also offered by our building landlords, Sharespace, in reception (for a fee). Office rent includes complimentary membership of Nottingham Writers' Studio and access to all facilities. Access is to the studio is via stairs or lift, with great transport links via tram (5 mins walk).

*Please note wifi is shared by Nottingham Writers' Studio users and not suitable for transferring large data files. It is intended for web browsing, emailing and small downloads (eg. Word docs, PDF's) only. Outside providers are not permitted (ie outside/private lines/wifi can't be installed), so for intensive wifi use we suggest tenants use their own personal roaming dongle.
