Poets Corner on Market Square 6 October
Thursday
6 October is National Poetry Day, and to celebrate Nottingham's poetry
community will be gathering for a free public reading at the city's
Speakers' Corner. You're invited to bring along a poem to read out, by yourself or a poet you admire. There'll also be poems available for members of the public to read from.
This year's Poetry Day theme is Games, but poems on any topic are welcome. Slots are for up to three minutes each.
"Be still when you have nothing to say; when genuine passion moves you, say what you've got to say, and say it hot." (DH Lawrence)
Poets' Corner runs from 3pm to 5pm at Speakers' Corner, Nottingham (on Market Square, near the Brian Clough statue at the junction of King and Queens streets).

Organised by Nottingham Writers' Studio and WriteLion.
