Nws Writers Make the East Midlands Book Award Shortlist

Maria Allen's novel Before the Earthquake and Ann Featherstone's The Newgate Jig have been shortlisted for the East Midlands Book Award.

The other shortlisted writers are Rosie Garner, Mark Goodwin, Judith Allnatt, Stephen Baker, Adrian Magson, and Anne Zouroudi.

The winner will be announced at the Lowdham Book Festival on 20 June 2011 and receive a prize of £1,000.
